About Me
My background
Peter Coe Verbica is a fifth-generation Californian, who learned the importance of a strong work ethic growing up on a cattle ranch. Trained in business, real estate, law, and as a Certified Financial Planner®, he has tremendous experience in financial services, risk management, and real estate.
He currently serves as a Managing Director and Principal at Silicon Private Wealth and is a former Managing Director at Viant Capital.
Peter has actively supported:
- schools as a former Board of Fellows member of Santa Clara University, a volunteer career advisor at MIT, and adjunct professor,
- military service men and women and veterans as former Chair of the Military Care Committee,
- youth ballet as former Trustee of Santa Cruz Ballet Theatre,
- youth symphony as former VP and current Trustee and Chair of the Investment Committee of the San Jose Symphony Foundation,
- Asian-American culture as the former Vice Chair of the Hakone Foundation, and
- California State Parks, including Henry Coe State Park, which is named after his great grandfather.
A father of four daughters, and relatives who have served in the US Armed Services, Peter believes in service to one’s community and Country. He is author of Hard-Won Cowboy Wisdom, a regular contributor to Opportunity Now Silicon Valley, including his Special Reports piece entitled, "Rise of the Rothschilds: A Legacy of Lessons," numerous Sherlock Holmes-based short stories appearing in the popular MX Series, and additional works appearing in many other anthologies. He is a member of Saint Andrews Episcopal Church, a Master Mason, a US Tennis Association Past Captain, Past President of CCR and SPARC, a Paul Harris Fellow and former Rotarian, a Delegate and Executive Committee Member of the CAGOP.
He hosts the Verb™ Presents Speaker Series which has featured the former Deputy Director of NSA, the former U.S. Ambassadors to Ukraine and Thailand, a former US Navy Rear Admiral, the former CTO of the US Space Force, and many others on a wide variety of topics, including geopolitical tensions, cybersecurity, the California insurance crises, civility, and the exodus of businesses from California.
He is a graduate of Santa Clara University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Bellarmine College Preparatory.
